2.在專業領域內,迄今共發表了三百餘篇SCI論文,多集中於電化學、應用物理、奈米科技等高水準期刊,其論文的質及量均有高度的評價。研究成果並獲美、日、英、德、中、台等十數國之二十餘項專利。施教授為人謙和,溫文儒雅,治學嚴謹,作育英才無數。在許多先進材料研究領域均為國內第一位引進者(包括鑽石膜、奈米碳管等),以及近年在多元高熵合金之電化學腐蝕研究,不僅對學術界貢獻卓著,對我國材料科技相關產業亦有極大影響。最近五年發表SCI期刊論文約72篇,其中2008年發表12篇SCI論文,2009年發表12篇SCI論文,2010年發表17篇SCI論文,2011年發表19篇,論文品質及數量均相當優異

3.施漢章教授教學認真,99學年度學生的教學意見調查分數的平均為86.321100學年度學生的教學意見調查分數的平均約為97.275分,顯示同學對老師的認同與肯定,因此榮獲100年度傑出教獎,尤其研究所的專業課程,更需借助施老師的專長幫忙授課。
